THE BACKSTORY:

Wild Sanctuary is the product of over 40 years of scientific nature recordings created around the world by Dr. Bernie Krause, an innovator in electronic music, film score composer and scientist. His career has taken him from teaching the George Harrison and the Beatles electronic music to composing scores to movies such as Rosemary’s Baby to being thrown down a mountain side by a Rwandan gorilla.   Along the way, he has amassed the largest-privately held archive of natural sound in the world. Many of the habitats he has captured with his microphones have been lost forever due to man’s interference.  This has led him on a mission to raise awareness of the natural world through sound.
